I am living fearlessly this September.

I’m taking on the Live Fearless Challenge this September to raise awareness and funds for the almost 180,000 Australians living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

My journey with IBD has not been one that’s smooth sailing. At 11 years old I received my diagnosis and was thrust into the hospital system, grappling with the harsh reality that my life would never be the same. Much of my high-school experience feels like a distant memory, full of absences, disappointments and trips to the Monash children’s hospital.

That’s why I’m getting active this September and aiming to complete 150km. Every kilometre I achieve is for the thousands of people living with IBD, and for those who would like to take part in the challenge but don’t have the capacity to. I know I will make my younger self proud and I will continue to spread awareness for a condition that has affected me, and so many others so deeply.
