I'm living fearlessly this September by participating in the Live Fearless Challenge 2024

As a part of my recovery and rehabilitation after a year of surgeries and lengthy hospital stays, my family and I are  getting active to raise awareness and much needed funds for Australians living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. As a family, we rode the highs and lows together throughout my fight with severe Ulcerative Colitis, so we've decided to achieve this target together also.

As a challenge, we will walk 120kms during the month of September. If you can rally behind us with even a small donation, it will go a long way to help and support so many individuals and families who battle daily with invisible chronic disease.

All proceeds go towards Crohn's & Colitis Australia's support services, research initiatives, education and advocacy programs for the Crohn's and colitis community.

Thank you and see you at the finish line!

Going the Distance

I’m over half way to my goal of 120kms in the month of September! Thanks to all who have donated to this important cause so far! As much as the excercise is healing for me, sharing my journey has become an important part of this challenge as I know there are so many out there who know someone or themselves have been diagnosed with IBD. There is hope!

I’m keen to get to our goal of $5000 and as it stands, we’re so close! Only $378 to go!

Thanks Narelle Hayes, Simba Muradzikwa and Travis Griffiths-Bell for your generous donations this week!

Amber, the kids and I have enjoyed some family walks over the past week and have been blown away by the support!

Getting moving after surgeries

Well, I’m 5 days into the Live Fearless Challenge and I’m focusing on moving as much as possible to make up the 150km goal.

After 3 major abdominal surgeries in a year ending in March this year, I’m slowly working my way back into quick walking and rehab at the gym.

Moving, even in the weeks after surgery was so important in the healing process. I’m not what I was but I’m making steady progress and the CCA Live Fearless Challenge is helping me stay on track!

Let’s hit the $5k this week for an amazing cause and hopefully one day soon, they can find a cure!

Don't forget... the power of your testimony comes from the story you live, but the power of your ministry comes from healing power God gives as He walks you through fire revealing His glory in the process. You may feel like your dreams or even destiny may have died partially or completely during your prolonged illness... but FYI Lazarus!!! Which was more for Mary's sake I believe. You are going to breathe new life in to many jaded Christians who have lost heart.
