My target 150kms

I'm living fearlessly this September by participating in the Live Fearless Challenge 2024
I’m getting active to achieve 150kms and raise awareness and much needed funds for Australians living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
As someone who lives with UC, this charity means a great deal to me. If you can rally behind me with even a small donation, it would motivate me through the month and keep my spirits high.
All proceeds go towards Crohn's & Colitis Australia's support services, research initiatives, education and advocacy programs for the Crohn's and colitis community.
Thank you and see you at the finish line!

My ongoing Journey
I have been feeling a little flat of late, a little defeated if you will. My last specialist appointment has left me feeling conflicted, why you ask? Well, here's the thing.. I have been having my Infliximab infusions for about 3 years now, I was put back onto 4 weekly about 12 months ago due to having one small area still with disease (it's clearly stubborn, like it's host... that's me ?) and my veins are no longer coming to the party. I had my specialist appointment last week and while it's good news, the infusions are working, I am going to be on the 4 weekly for at least another 4 months.... my veins are thrilled... my UC journey is sometimes so exhausting I just want to say 'no more'. No more steroids, no more 4 tablets a day, no more being a pin cushion... just no more... but I have my mini melt down and get over it, because if I don't, what's the alternative, go back to how it was? Planning every single trip out of the house around the public toilet Map??? No thank you... at the very least I have learnt to see the funny side of my predicament... myself and the amazing nurses (that feel guilty every time I rock up), have worked out it takes an average of 3 attempts to get a line in and we now have a competition to see who can get it in the quickest and in the most creative way ? This is why I do the live Fearless Challenge... to let those who live with UC or Chrones (or any other chronic illness to be honest) know that we see you. Yes some days it tough and we want to spit the dummy, and I think it's our right to do so sometimes, but keep looking forward, you're not alone by any means... we've got this ?Thank you to my Sponsors
