Julie Weldon

One week to go, and 35kms left to do ...

We have been supported by Australian Communities Foundation through the Beecher Family Charitable Fund.

As many of you will know, I’m not a natural athlete, so this isn’t something that comes easy to me. But Pippa – my dog – is loving the extra kms we are doing every day.

I am doing this because having been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 1994, I know only too well the impact that this illness can have – but I am one of the very lucky ones.

My first port of call when I was diagnosed was CCA – I’d never heard of it and had so many questions after my diagnosis. But they provided fantastic advice on the helpline and were always there as I navigated my way through various treatments.

I would greatly appreciate if you would consider sponsoring me. Even the smallest donation can make a difference:

- $15 hires a room for an IBD Support Group for 1 hour

- $50 sends one child to a Kid’s Fun Day

- $50 will fund a person attending an IBD Information & Education Forum

- $75 will fund one teenager’s participation at Camp Live Fearless for a day

All proceeds go towards Crohn's & Colitis Australia who provide research, education and advocacy programs for people living with IBD.

Any support is appreciated and all donations over $2 are tax deductible.

Thank you to my Sponsors
