Live Fearless 2026!
Crohn's is a marathon with no finish line - a physical and mental slog through fatigue, pain and uncertainty against a disease that can shrink your world and your conception of what's possible.
Sometimes you're resilient. Sometimes you are overwhelmed. But through it all you hopefully come to appreciate the small victories, and take every opportunity you can to expand your horizons with the circumstances you have.
Sadly, this year we hit another wall. Instead of 4 weeks recharging on a Sardinian beach, we spent 6 weeks in Canberra's finest hospitals. Though not the same vibe, it had a charm of its own - surrounded by my incredible partner, friends and family, as well as tirelessly working health professionals who try their best to care for you with a smile, all while running a marathon of their own.
Perhaps a bowel perforation is nature's way of telling you to slow down. It certainly enforces a level of help-seeking behaviour. Regardless, I am once again at the stage of my recovery where I'm going stir-crazy.
Happily, (and somewhat conspicuously), that recovery ONCE AGAIN coincides with the kickoff of the Live Fearless Challenge.
And so, Jordan and I are asking for your help to convert our time and steps into cash money to help Crohn's and Colitis Australia fund research, advocacy, education.
We've set ourselves a goal of 30 hours/150km over September. If you feel so inclined, we'd greatly appreciate any support you can give.
