I'm living fearlessly this September by participating in the Live Fearless Challenge 2023

I’m getting active to achieve 100kms and raise awareness and much needed funds for Australians living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.

As I challenge myself to reach these goals during September, it would really help me to know that I have your support. If you can rally behind me with even a small donation, it would motivate me through the month and keep my spirits high.

Crohn’s disease effects our household everyday, whether it be mentally / physically or emotionally. At the age of 21 my Husband was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease. We were new parents with a 4mth old baby. Together we battled through steroids, drugs, injections, treatments of all kinds, diets of all kinds, countless trips to hospital and eventually a surgery that would change Jakes life forever. Fast track a further 12mths and 2 seperate major surgeries & Baby number #2; he feels as good as he has in a long time.

I don’t think I’ll ever forget how brutal recovery after surgery and times in hospital have been for us and especially him. For a period of time I think we were pretty numb to it and we deemed it as our new normal. I’ve never seen someone be pushed to breaking point or suffer like he has.

This is an invisible disease. You can not physically see it with your own eyes. I’ve learnt over the past 4 years that Crohn’s disease is very much so a roller coaster. Jakes surgeries have been successful thus far; which I will forever be greatful for.

So please treat people with kindness, give people the benefit of the doubt, have patience & grace. 

Because we never truely know how people suffer;
