I'm living fearlessly this September. Will you support me?

I’m taking on the Live Fearless Challenge this September to raise awareness and funds for the almost 180,000 Australians living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

After recently being diagnosed with Crohn's Disease, I want to bring awareness and fundraise for support to ensure that people living with IBD get the supports they need.

IBD is one of the most misunderstood chronic health conditions. Yet people living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are ‘frequent flyers’ of the hospital system. It strips away income, disrupts education, work, relationships and travel, and can have a significant impact on both physical and mental health.

That’s why I’m getting active this September and aiming to complete 150km. I will be completing the 150km through walking and exercise activity (Boot Camp). (The challenge encourages this and 30 mins of intense exercise = 3km. However, mostly mine will be done walking. Every kilometre is for the thousands of people living with IBD who face this in silence.

Consider supporting me as I take on the LFC! Your donation will help fund research, patient support, education and advocacy - because no one should have to manage this disease on their own.

Day 20 - First 5km Jog (non-stop)

Day 20 of Living Fearless saw me complete my first 5km jog without stopping. It reminds me, each day living with IBD can be challenging, but when you push through with support I can still live and achieve goals. Support is one of the greatest things needed for people living with IBD! Donating to the Live Fearless Challenge ensures that people living with IBD can access the supports they need.

Day 17

Day 17 of the Crohn's & Colitis Australia Live Fearless Challenge! 75km down for me! Unfortunately, with Lydia Bruford breaking her ankle she won’t be able to complete her 150km but with her 30 mins of exercise to recover will be living fearless!

Please consider donating to support people living with IBD to provide much needed support for Australians living with IBD to live a full and fearless life.

Thanks for your support!

Day 3 - Walking Whatever The Day Brings

Just like living with IBD, you need to push through to get through the day. Even today, the weather could have stopped us, but we pushed through! Join us in making a difference to those pushing through each and everyday! Let’s ensure everyone has opportunity to have access to supports living with IBD.

Join me in the living fearless challenge

Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) affects nearly 180,000 Australians, and that number is rising. Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are life-long diseases with no cure. Because symptoms are often invisible, the daily challenges faced by those with IBD are frequently overlooked.

For Australians living with Crohn's and colitis, the disease can seriously impact their personal life and career, affecting physical and mental health.
IBD remains significantly underfunded, and is the only major chronic condition in Australia without dedicated government funding for patient support.
This is one of the reasons I’ve signed up to do the Live Fearless Challenge in September! 150km through September that's 5km a day! (This can include an exercise group, walking, running and more. 30min of activity = 3km). I'm asking, will you join me or support me via the link below, or find more info!

Dave you have a heart like God's with a desire to help people. I pray that you are able to continue to see the kingdom come on earth through your deeds. However, don't forget to rest as well. Jesus healed one person at the pool of Bethesda: not everyone. Also, I donated $39 knowing it would be doubled because then it brought your total up to a round number. If you are like me you'll appreciate the synergy :'D
