My target 150kms

I'm living fearlessly this September by participating in the Live Fearless Challenge 2024
Here it is folks, something that is quite important to me, I have always wanted to do this challenge and have decided this is my year!
With a recent change in my own diagnosis from Ulcerative Colitis for the last 9 years to now Crohn’s disease I thought why not throw a challenge my way and do something that will be good for myself but also to raise money.
I’m getting active to achieve 150kms and raise awareness and much needed funds for Australians living with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis.
As I challenge myself to reach these goals during September, it would really help me to know that I have your support. If you can rally behind me with even a small donation, I know times are difficult for everyone at the moment but it would motivate me through the month and keep my spirits high.
All proceeds go towards Crohn's & Colitis Australia's support services, research initiatives, education and advocacy programs for the Crohn's and colitis community.
Thank you and see you at the finish line!

My Updates

Big walk, big reward
This morning we were up and walking early and the sun was shining and it was lovely! We did 9km before we stopped for a coffee and brekkie and then walked another 3km before getting home. We got swooped by the Magpies down the street and even though I was exhausted I found the energy to run and scream away from the magpie, sorry to anyone who saw that lol
4 days to go
Okay so I haven’t been great at updating this but we have 4 days to go and I’m feeling positive that I’ll be able to get to my goal
Shopping
Shopping counts as walking right?? Today Melissa and I shopped til we dropped and I clocked up 7kms so I’m including this because it’s still technically walking :)
Walkies
I’ve been super slack updating this but I’ve been walking, walking and more walking
Making friends
Today (Sunday 8/9) was another walk around the estate cause it was going to rain, and although we did get caught in the rain we didn’t let that dampen the mood. Met some doggy friends, 3 beautiful greyhounds who all wanted pats
Plovers!!!
I bloody hate those birds. Today we were swooped by a plover and we were no where near it’s baby. I screamed for my life and ran whilst mum crouched and Dylan saved the day! Plover is fine for those worried about it, but I might have to change the walking route
Day 4
Today was a quick walk around the estate as I didn’t have the time to go on a bigger walk but still wanted to get my km’s up. It was also a sad girl walk cause dylan couldn’t join me
Day 3
Another day, another walk. Today was a smaller walk cause I got home later but we still found the time to get our steps up.
Day 2
Another 5kms done, this time we survived the magpies and got rained on instead. A little drizzle won’t stop me even though I complained the whole time- thanks dylan for being my number one
1st Day
