Will you support my Live Fearless Challenge?

Hi 👋

I'm taking part in the 2026 Live Fearless Challenge – and I'd love your support!

I've challenged myself to move for at least 30 minutes every day this September, while raising funds for a cause that's close to my heart.

Over 180 thousand Australians live with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis (known as IBD). There is currently no cure, and very little government funding dedicated to the condition.

This is why I've chosen to support Crohn's & Colitis Australia, to help them continue supporting IBD patients and their families, funding critical research, and advocating for a better future for all Australians with IBD.

Even a small donation can have a big impact, so if you can, please make a donation today (you’ll receive a receipt straight to your inbox).

Thank you so much for supporting me – it means a lot! 💜

The Battle Continues....

Living with Crohn’s disease is a continual battle, and for me, perianal Crohn’s continues to be one of the hardest parts of that battle.

Right now, life still involves frequent appointments with my IBD and colorectal teams, ongoing monitoring and trying to find the right balance with treatment. We’re still working out the right dose for my infliximab infusions, how best to manage the sudden reactions I’ve experienced during them, and ultimately how to continue treating the disease while maintaining my quality of life.

Another part of this journey that I’ve struggled with in the past is my body developing antibodies to medications that were meant to be helping me. When that happens, you can find yourself back at the beginning again, trying another medication and hoping that this time it will work and keep working.

And the fear of that happening again is very real.

There’s a disappointment that’s hard to explain when a treatment stops working. You know logically that you haven’t done anything wrong, but emotionally, it can feel like your body has let you down yet again. You finally start to feel some hope that you’ve found something that might work, while always having that little fear in the back of your mind wondering how long it will last.

The difficult reality of perianal Crohn’s is that there isn’t a simple fix. There’s no surgery, medication or treatment that can promise it will disappear for good. So much of it is maintenance, monitoring, adjusting treatment and simply hoping things improve and that remission might be something I get to experience again.

I think one of the hardest parts, though, is something people often can’t see. The fatigue.

The fatigue from the disease itself.
The fatigue from the medications and infusions.
The appointments, procedures and constant monitoring.

And somehow, amongst all of that, you still have to get up and live your life. You work. You show up. You’re a mum. You look after your family. You do all the normal everyday things while your body is quietly fighting an illness that most people around you can’t see.

That’s the reality of living with an invisible illness.

It’s also why the Live Fearless Challenge means so much to me.

If you’re able to donate, your contribution helps support the work being done to improve the lives of people living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. Every donation, no matter the size, helps make a difference.

I think there is one thing almost everyone living with IBD would agree on.

We hope for the day there is a cure. 💜

The day future generations don’t have to learn how to live around this disease. The day we don’t have to talk about managing Crohn’s or maintaining remission because we can finally talk about getting rid of it for good.

Until then, we keep showing up, we keep fighting and we keep living fearlessly. 💜

If you’d like to support the challenge and help make a difference for people living with Crohn’s and colitis, please consider donating today. 💜

Thank you to my donors
