Fearless Ain’t a Mood — It’s a Survival Tactic, Crohn’s is Brutal. So Am I
This year, I’m taking part in the Live Fearless Challenge—not just to push my limits, but to stand up for the almost 180,000 other Australian people living with Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis.
Crohn’s is an invisible, chronic illness that affects every part of a person’s life—physically, emotionally, socially. There’s no cure yet. But there is hope. And that’s why I’m stepping up.
Why I’m Doing the Live Fearless Challenge
When I was about 13 or so, I was diagnosed with Crohn’s disease — a condition I had never heard of at the time, but one that would come to shape nearly every aspect of my life.
Now, I’ve been living with this disease for nearly three decades. That’s 29 years of chronic pain, fatigue, countless hospital stays, surgeries, medications, and more doctors’ appointments than I can count. Crohn’s doesn’t just affect your gut — it impacts your energy, your plans, your independence, your career, your relationships — your whole life.
Living fearless doesn’t mean living without fear—it means choosing courage anyway. And that’s exactly what people with Crohn’s do every single day.
Whether it’s facing unpredictable flare-ups, enduring painful treatments, or navigating life with a disease that few truly understand, those living with Crohn’s are some of the strongest, most resilient people I know.
My Challenge
As part of the Live Fearless Challenge, I’ve committed to walk 150 kilometers in September.
People with Crohn’s don’t get to choose their challenges—they face them every day. I’m choosing to face this one for them.
About Crohn’s Disease
Crohn’s is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that can cause severe abdominal pain, fatigue, weight loss, and malnutrition.
It affects over 10 million people worldwide, and it often strikes young—many are diagnosed before the age of 30.
There’s no cure. Treatment is ongoing, and flare-ups can be unpredictable and debilitating.
That’s why research, awareness, and support are so urgently needed.

This Is More Than a Challenge—It’s a Movement
We don’t always get to choose what we face in life. But we can choose how we respond.
I’m choosing courage. I’m choosing action. I’m choosing to fight for a future without Crohn’s.
Please support me—and thousands of others—by donating, sharing, or simply cheering me on.
Let’s live fearless, together.
