amelia’s live fearless challenge 2: electric boogaloo

in 2022, i walked 212km in september to raise funds and awareness for crohn’s and colitis australia. i had never participated in any kind of challenge like this before and i surprised myself by smashing my initial goal of 150km! 

this year, i want to challenge myself - properly challenge myself! 300km is a lot to walk in one month, but if my battles with UC over the years has shown me anything, it is that i am incredibly capable of more than i imagine i am. 

the five year anniversary i will celebrate this december since my diagnosis has seen me through organ loss, ostomies, major surgeries, immunosuppressants, hair loss, weight loss, abscesses, ICU stays, christmases in hospital, missed holidays, endless needles, and a whole lot of trauma. my chronic illness has been the most challenging thing i have ever gone through in my life. 300km is easy next to losing your large intestine at 18!
